Nominations Committee Proposes Re-Election of Two Incumbent Directors

The MAPPS Nominations Committee has recommended that the membership re-elect two incumbent members of the MAPPS Board of Directors. The committee has re-nominated Robert Hickey (Photo Science, Inc., West Chester, PA) and Scott Perkins (Wilson Company, Kansas City, MO) for 2-year terms on the MAPPS Board.

The MAPPS Nominating Committee of Pat Olson (Chair); Dave Hart, Susan Marlow and Jim Page have completed their responsibilities and provide the following recommendations for your consideration.

The Committee received 3 applications/ letters of interest prior to the May 15, 2010 deadline. The Committee reviewed the applications and met via a conference call on June 3, 2010 to complete the evaluation process. The process proceeded in a QBS type evaluation where the applications were ranked by all members and then telephone interviews were completed with each applicant. The rankings were then reviewed incorporating the oral interviews. All three candidates are extremely well qualified and passionate about their desire to serve the Board.

The Committee recommends that Bob Hickey and Scott Perkins be placed into nomination for the two seats available in the July election.

The Committee believes Messrs. Hickey and Perkins have been active, dependable, dedicated members of the Board of Directors who deserve re-nomination. Moreover, the committee notes that in view of the fact that there was significant turnover in the Board last year, with the addition of four (4) new directors in 2009, the continuity of reelecting these two incumbent Directors would serve MAPPS well and provide a balance between new blood and institutional knowledge.

Submitted by Pat Olson, Chairman

Pursuant to the election schedule (see below) announced earlier by MAPPS President Jeff Lovin, the election will be held during the Annual Meeting of MAPPS at the Summer Conference, at the Hyatt Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, NV on Sunday, August 1. Any additional nominations may be brought to the membership from the floor by a member in good standing.
